Village Hall Frontage

Kelbrook and Sough lie on the A56 between Skipton and Colne, in a rural part of Northeast Lancashire, although, prior to the boundary changes of 1974 they were in West Yorkshire.

Kelbrook and Sough Village Hall is in the centre of Kelbrook, with the Parish Church nearby, and fronts onto Dotcliffe Road. To the rear of the Hall there is an open field.

The Village Hall is the only local venue where local groups can meet and social events held and as such has an important role in helping to ensure the viability of this rural community.

The Village Hall is managed as a charitable trust (Charity No. 1101005) by local volunteers on behalf of the community. The Village Hall has looked to develop its resources to meet community needs and has been fortunate in securing grants and donations for these developments from:

Lancashire Economic Partnership (LEP) through The Enterprising Rural Communities and Pathfinder in Practice programmes, Leader+, SRB5, Biffaward, the Rural Enterprise Scheme, Lancashire Environmental Fund, Kelbrook and Sough Parish Council,  West Craven Area Committee, West Craven Together, Awards for All, Lloyds TSB, Pendle Borough Council, Rolls Royce, Kelbrook Primary School and the Ladies Guild, as well as contributions from local business and the community.

Thanks are also due to the Lancashire Economic Partnership (LEP) and Community Futures for the sustained support and development of our funding programme.

The Village Hall Committee gratefully acknowledges all the help they have received and thank all concerned.
